Floods, Rains and the Devastation - Pakistan

Tragic is an under statement when you talk about the devastation the flood brought with itself. NRSP say there is a desperate need for shelter, food, water, non-food items, medicine, tools and support to begin the rebuilding process.

The unprecedented floods in the KPK region has hit the districts of Charsadda, Nowshera, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Malakand and Swat. People were caught in the middle of the night when rushing flood waters engulfed their homes leaving thousands homeless within a matter of minutes.

Nation-wide damage:

1.       Total of 5.3 million estimated to be impacted by floods nation-wide

2.       2.5 million require food aid

3.       .7 million affected by water-borne diseases (growing very fast)
